BEHZAD MANZOOR

Behzad is the principal dentist at Barming & Thorndike Dental and Implant Centres in Kent. He is appointed as Associate Professor and Clinical lead at College of Medicine and Dentistry. He teaches a postgraduate master programme for dentists in Implant Dentistry. He has particular interest in implant dentistry, Digital smile design, Invisalign, TMJ and management of tooth wear.

Behzad has placed more than 1800 implants with a 99% success rate. He applies minimally invasive concepts with an emphasis on prevention and saving teeth. This is achieved with the use of advanced technology and extensive training as a team. For complex cases he works in close collaboration with Dr Shah (root canal expert), Dr Aftab (experienced in prosthodontics and tooth wear rehabilitation) and Dr Mirza (Braces expert).

Behzad is a faculty member at Ulster University. He is also a speaker for ‘Henry Schein Education’ one of the largest dentistry related organizations. His work is regularly published in dental journals on the topics of advanced dentistry and dental implants.

He uses his knowledge of cosmetic dentistry to provide restorations which not only offer improved function but also have pleasing aesthetic results (see Portfolio).

Behzad received Implant Dentistry training from Guy’s Hospital and passed his MSc with distinction. He has a clinical research associate post at Guy’s Hospital, London, working in close collaboration with leading implant companies to help develop implant products.

He is trained in advanced procedures for complex implant cases; he is a mentor, facilitates other dentists in implant dentistry and has also presented implant dentistry research at international conferences.

During his leisure time Behzad is a keen participant and spectator of sports, particularly cricket. He likes spending time with family and friends, enjoys traveling and has a keen interest in photography.
