Fixed Braces
Fixed appliances are the most common type of orthodontic appliances in use today. There are various types of fixed appliance systems available ranging from metal brackets to clear brackets. They enable the orthodontic practitioner to accurately move the teeth into the desired position. The orthodontist has more control over the position of the teeth with fixed appliances than can be achieved with removable appliances or removable aligners. For more complex cases where fast systems are not suitable, fixed orthodontics may be an option as:

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Fixed appliances consist of small metal brackets that are attached onto the front surface of the teeth with a dental adhesive. The brackets are then connected with a thin wire which is often held in place with elastic loops.
Orthodontic treatment usually takes anywhere from 6 to 30 months depending upon the severity of the problem and the scope of the proposed treatment.
Once the active phase of the orthodontic treatment has been completed, the majority of patients are provided with retainers in order to maintain the finished result. Retainers can be removable or fixed onto the tongue-side of the teeth. Failure to wear or maintain retainers as instructed is likely to result in the teeth becoming more crooked and crowded as they try to move back to their pre-treatment position.

CFast is a fast, simple, gentle, effective, minimally invasive and affordable treatment when adults wish to have their alignment issues corrected with the top and bottom front six teeth. Because we do not claim to address major orthodontic issues, Cfast can be done very quickly, making it more affordable than all other orthodontic options.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Cfast uses clear orthodontic brackets and tooth-coloured nickel-titanium wires. The treatment works much like that using clear aligners, but tooth movement is much more predictable and usually more than twice as quick.
The nickel-titanium wires put gentle pressure on the brackets to level and align the teeth with minimal discomfort to the patient. The gum follows this movement to achieve a fully aesthetic outcome.
Standard orthodontic mechanics are still involved with CFAST, but because it’s just the front teeth, the force required is minimal. The nickel-titanium wires exert mild pressure to force the teeth to move, and this is done without the need for severe tightening which causes the discomfort noted in conventional orthodontic treatments.

Dr Mirza graduated in 1996 and has devoted his practice to providing orthodontic treatments only. He treats mulitple patients in a variery of locations across England. Ranging from London, Kent, Hampshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire.
He works closely with Dr Manzoor and Dr Shah to treat complex multidisciplinary and smile design cases.
As well as this Dr Mirza prides himself in updating his knowledge and clinical skills by regularly attending continuous professional development courses and has completed his Master’s Degree in Orthodontics.
